Self Catering Holiday Homes in Cote D’Azur

The Cote D’Azur is one of those places we feel we know before we even get there. Names such as St. Tropez, Nice, Cannes and Antibes conjure up images of the rich and famous at play in the casinos, in the harbours and on the stunning beaches. It is a place where artists such as Matisse, Bizet and Picasso made their paintings sing. Choose holiday accommodation in the Cote D’Azur and make this fabled area your own reality.

Wander down the cobbled streets and alleys of St. Tropez and enjoy the wonderful choice of galleries, stylish shops and fabulous restaurants. Yachts and sailboats nudge each other in the harbour and at every turn there are breathtaking views of the azure sea and the hazy mountains.

Cannes has an embarrassment of long golden beaches such as the Plage du Majestic and the Calao Plage. The Plage du Martinez, often has spectacular evening firework displays.  Stroll down La Croisette beside the shore and stop to sip a cool drink at one of the many wonderful cafes.

Antibes is one of the most beautiful towns of the Cote D’Azur. Ramble through the old town where beautiful flowers trail from the balconies of the ochre coloured buildings.  Savour the daily morning market, enjoy a walk along the beach front, or pop into the Picasso museum.

Nice is another wonderful town to explore with its diverse range of shops, fantastic restaurants and beautiful buildings with art-deco facades. The Cours Saleya flower market is worth a visit as is the Matisse Museum.

Spend some time is the delightful medieval village of Eze which is perched 1400 feet above sea level. The maze of cobbled lanes house tiny shops where you can pick up some lovely French linen or traditional olive wood breadboards.  At every turn, flowers tumble from large ceramic urns in this very pretty village.

No trip to this region would be complete without a trip to the tiny principality of Monaco. This tiny strip of land bordered by cliffs and sea makes a great day trip. Visit the Royal Palace or check out the Prince of Monaco’s car collection. Sip a drink at the harbour watching the luxurious yachts and pleasure craft or try your hand at a little roulette in one of the casinos.

The Cote D’Azur is one of those luxurious destinations which live up to all expectations.  From little villages clinging to cliff faces to hotel-sized yachts berthed in sparkling blue harbours; from winding roads zigzagging up mountains sides to visiting the Prince of Monaco’s car collection; from art galleries to flower markets, the Cote D’Azur has it all. Choose from one of our many holiday homes and villas in the Cote D’Azur region.
