Self Catering Holiday Homes in Ile de France and Paris

Self Catering in ParisParis, capital of culture and romance, almost overloads the senses with its incredible array of sights, sounds and activities. With romance at its very core, Paris is the perfect city for lovers, old or young. It is also a wonderful family destination with its amazing selection of monuments and buildings. Wander around the city at your leisure and discover the delights that are at the heart of every part of Paris. Stay at one of our holiday homes in the Ile de France/Paris and have the city at your door step.

Some of the ‘must do’s’ of Paris have to include the following:

  • Climb to the top of the Eiffel tower and marvel at the city laid out below. The tower can be seen from almost everywhere in Paris, so when you reach the top, you truly feel you have the entire city at your feet. If  the trip to the top is not feasible, you can wander around the area below the tower and soak up the fabulous atmosphere.
  • The Louvre Museum is one the best loved and best known museums in the world. You could literally spend days touring around the vastness of the Louvre and find treasures at every turn. But if time is not on your side, you can still pop in and visit its most famous inhabitant, the Mona Lisa.
  • Stroll down the Champs Elysses and marvel at the wonderful architecture of the buildings and discover the fantastic shops this most elegant venue has to offer.
Self Catering in ParisParis is a wonderful city for walkers. Everywhere you stroll you come upon more stunning buildings and vistas.
The Arc de Triomphe is located at the top of the Champs Elysses and makes a fantastic focal point for the street. The Arch was built by Napoleon as a symbol of victory and  is decorated with friezes and is also the tomb of the unknown soldier. The Palace de la Concorde is at the other end of the avenue.

A stroll along the banks of the River Seine affords some of the best views of Paris. Stop at some of the bridges and savour the beautiful vistas from the Pont de la Concorde or the Pont de Sully. Or why not take a romantic cruise along the river? Glide past some of the most wonderful sights, such as Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Royal Palace and of course, the Eiffel Tower which stands sentinel over the city.

Self Catering in ParisParis offers treats at every turn: take a trip to the top of Montmartre to the beautiful Sacre Coeur Basilica; pop down to the underground cemetery at the Catacombes which holds 200-year-old skeletons; make a day trip to fabulous Versailles. Enjoy these and many more delights from one of our holiday homes in Ile de France and Paris.
