Visitors have an excellent choice of restaurants and pubs between Spanish Point and neighbouring Miltown Malbay with the latter being particularly known for its traditional music sessions and the popular annual music festival Willie Clancy Week.
This part of Clare’s coast is particularly popular with surfers and has a number of surf hire shops and schools the largest of which is the Lahinch Surf School just 15 minutes from the holiday homes. Other outdoor activities on offer include whale and dolphin watching at Carrigaholt, cycling with bicycle hire available during the summer months in Miltown Malbay and some stunning walks along the coast and through The Burren Region.
Golf courses in the area include the famous Dromoland Castle, Doonebg Golf Club, East Clare Golf Club and Lahinch Golf Club while there is a local 9 hole course at Spanish Point Golf Club.
Ferry trips to the Aran Islands and to view the Cliffs of Moher from the water leave regularly from Doolin Harbour while other local attractions include Cliffs of Moher Visitor Centre, Bunratty Folk Park & Castle, the Aillwee Caves and Doolin Cave.
This self catering accommodation in Spanish Point is a great base from which to explore Ireland’s Atlantic coast and the many quaint fishing villages and seaside towns in this part of Co. Clare.
