Had a great week in Castlemartyr, stayed in a 3 bedroomed Trident lodge and it was great - very clean, extremely spacious and equipped with everything we needed. Andy, the property manager, was so helpful when we arrived - didn't see him for the week because everything ran so smoothly but I doubt any request would be a problem for him. Resort itself is just beautiful - open green spaces, lovely walk to the hotel, short walk to Castlemartyr village (not a lot happening there but the food in The Hunted Hog is lovely) and an excellent base for touring beautiful East Cork (Fota, Cobh, Trabolgan, Garryvoe) and nearby Leahy's farm is the best pet farm we have visited. Would highly recommend both Castlemartyr & Trident.

We just spent a brilliant week at Castlemartyr in a 3 bed lodge. This self catering accommodation is the best we have ever stayed in - very spacious, 3 en-suite bedrooms and loads of space for the kids to play outside. It is very safe, loads of children outside in the evenings playing football, hurling, etc. There are loads of things to do nearby, in fact we could have stayed another week! I would really recommend Castlemartyr as an excellent family holiday base. Thanks a million!

We had a super experience from start to finish. The drive up to the Lodges is so beautiful and also a beautiful walk to do daily. From the minute we met Andy the Property Manager I knew it was going to be a great experience. He was so welcoming, friendly, told us everything about the area, called in to see if we were ok during the week, couldn't do enough for us so I hope he is being paid well for it. I have told so many about our holiday last week. The accommodation is fantastic large spacious rooms all ensuite, all mod cons in house, proper kitchen ware and cutlery. The deck and gardens fab outside with so much space for children. It was peaceful and we felt very safe there. It’s such a central location only 10/15 mins to Garryvoe, onto Youghal and Ardmore (Cliff house fab). We visited Foto Island, Trabologan, Cobh, Kinsale, Ballymaloe, Shanagarry. We took the train from Midleton to Cork City, got on a Double Decker (huge treat for our children). We shopped and toured they loved the English Market. The high light of the holiday was no doubt the day visiting Leahys Open Farm - such a lovely day with genuine kind country people wanting to make other people happy. The only downside is not being able to use the pool at the hotel unless you book direct with the hotel and in which case you pay €800 more and so your swim works out at €100 a day or more!! The weather was super so we swam in local beaches. The village is nice but the local pub only serves food at weekend so you need to go a bit further to eat out but Midleton is only 10 mins in the road. Overall I would highly recommend it and will definitely return. Many thanks.

Excellent Break with the Family - What an amazing trip we all had to Castlemartyr! Arrived on the Saturday to a very warm welcoming Andy who showed us over to the bright, open and airy Trident Holiday Homes lodges. Andy was very accommodating showing us how everything worked, a little intro on what to do in the area and a great overview of the whole resort. What a way to kick off the holiday!! We had a long journey down to Castlemarty so relaxed that evening in the spacious lodge. There were 6 of us staying in the house spread over the very well appointed 3 bedrooms with high ceilings and TV in each room... such luxury. On the Sunday we kicked off with a beautiful walk in the grounds, fed the horses, walked through the forest and onto the town which is only about a 10 minute walk from the lodges. We picked up some breakfast bits in the local Centra. We spent the afternoon horse riding on Hop Island which is about a 20 minute drive from the Lodges! It is a beautiful location. The rest of the week was jam packed with things to do in the local area, we went to Fota Island, Spike Island, Cork city, Ballymaloe House and Cove (which is a little town not to be missed). Castlemartyr is the perfect location for a family trip, a girls weekend or a perfect place for a couple to relax. We finished the week off with a trip to the Castlemartyr hotel spa, what a way to finish off an amazing holiday in a beautiful location in the perfect Lodges provided by Trident Holiday Homes. Will definitely be back and am already recommending to my friends and family! A place not to be missed if you are considering a trip to Cork.

Booked a 1 week stay in a 3 bedroom Lodge and ended up extending our stay for 11 days over Easter. We had a ball. The houses are beautiful - very modern, up to date with plenty of space. Houses are very clean, warm, comfortable with the most amazing beds ever. They have all been recently painted. Loved seeing the pony and trap passing by our window each morning taking people around the resort. The grounds of the Castlemartyr resort are stunning. Fed the horses each morning before our walk through the woods. From the Lodges it would be about a 5 minute walk to the hotel and then on another 15 minutes would have you in the village. Had a drink in the hotel out the back overlooking the maze and it was wonderful. It is a pet friendly resort so lots of doggies around which I love to see. East Cork has loads to do and the Castlemartyr holiday homes are a fantastic place to base yourself . Less than a 20 minute drive will have you to Fota Wildlife / Trabolgan / Leahys open Farm / Ballycotton and Cobh. Cannot recommend Castlemartyr enough. Brilliant Holiday !
