This holiday cottage in Dungloe stands in its own grounds on the Hill of Crucknagerrag, enjoys stunning views of Dungloe Bay and Arranmore Island and is less than 1Km from the town’s shops, pubs and excellent seafood restaurants. This seaside resort is within easy reach of a number of great beaches, the nearest being Maghery Beach 4.5Km away.

Dungloe is a lively little town in the centre of the Donegal gaeltacht (Irish speaking) area known as The Rosses and is an attractive seaside resort. During the August Bank Holiday weekend each year the 'Mary from Dungloe Festival' is held in the town with lots of outdoor events, activities and street music.

There are a number of good golf courses for visitors to choose from in the area including Gweedore Golf Club, Cruit Island Golf Club and Portnoo Golf Club.

Situated on an island-studded bay,Dungloe is an important game angling centre with 130 lakes there is some superb salmon, trout and sea trout fishing. The local wild bog and reed beds are a perfect haven for wildlife and support a wide variety of birds offering some really lovely walks and hikes. Glenveagh National Park is less than 40 minutes away and is well worth a visit covering some 16,000 hectares which include the Glenveagh Estate, Derryveagh Mountains and Lough Veagh. It is also home to Ireland’s largest herd of red deer. Slieve League Cliffs which are the sixth highest sea cliffs in Europe and are just as spectacular as the Cliffs of Moher are also within easy reach and ideal for a day trip.

This holiday cottage in Dungloe is an ideal base from which to explore the northern Donegal coast.
