These modern self catering holiday homes in Ballyconneely are situated right on the coast and enjoy stunning views of the rugged Connemara coastline. They are only a 10 minute walk from the local shop and pub.

Please note the Mannin Bay Hotel is closed until further notice.

Visitors have the choice of a number of sandy coves in the immediate area, the nearest of which it only 200m away. In addition to swimming, cycling and hiking, there are plenty of outdoor activities on offer in the locality. The Connemara Championship Golf Links is on the other side of the peninsula, approx 10 minute’s drive away while the local riding school at Errislannan Manor offers treks for adults and children of all levels of ability on locally bred Connemara Ponies. This is a really fantastic way to explore the surrounding countryside.

For generations the sea has played a large part in Connemara life and there are a wide variety of maritime activities on offer including sailing, deep sea fishing and various boat trips long the coast. The nearby Aran Islands are easily accessible by boat from Rossaveel (approx. 1 ½ hrs from Ballyconneely) or by plane from Connemara Regional Airport.

Ballyconneely is located mid way between the vibrant coastal town of Clifden and Roundstone village, both of which have a great selection of craft shops, traditional pubs and excellent restaurants serving locally caught fresh fish. There are a number of visitor attractions in the area which should not be missed, including Kylemore Abbey, Connemara National Park and the Connemara History & Heritage Centre. This dramatic coastline of hidden coves, crystal clear waters and captivating landscape makes this sparsely populated part of Ireland the perfect spot to really get away from it all.
