This vibrant town has a night club, cinema, a wide variety of traditional craft shops and a weekly Farm & Craft Market in the centre specialising in local seafood and produce.
Dingle is a great destination for family holidays. In addition to the fantastic sandy beaches nearby at Inch and Ventry, there is a large leisure centre – Dingle World of Leisure (indoor swimming pool, gym, steam room, sauna, hydro spa, 10 pin bowling and amusements) and Dingle Ocean World , an excellent aquarium which is a great day out for the whole family. There are a number of sea safaris on offer in the area, taking visitors out to visit Dingle’s most famous inhabitant Fungie the Dolphin, out to the stunning Blasket Islands - Dingle Bay Charters or simply around the bay - Skellig Adventures.
There is a great choice of outdoor activities in the area for both adults and children such as surfing at the West Coast Surf School, sailing, power boating and kayaking are all on offer at Dingle Sailing Centre who’s courses are all ISA approved. Mountaineering, rock climbing, horse riding, canoeing are all available at Irish Adventures Centre. Another local adventure centre Play At Height Activities offers abseiling, zip wire, a power fan and climbing wall.
Dingle or An Daingean is part of the Kerry Gaeltacht area (Irish speaking area) where the language is still in everyday use. There are a number of marked walking and cycling trails along the coast with bicycle hire available in Dingle.
