There is an on site toddlers play area and the nearby Tralee Aquadome is a fantastic day out for children of all ages having waves, slides and rapids. The town also has floodlit, astro-turf tennis courts, a bowling alley, cinema and Jungle Jims Adventure World for younger children. Tralee BayWetlands Centre - 8 hectare (20 acre) eco-tourism development comprises a Nature Park focusing on the diversity of the internationally renowned Tralee Bay Nature Reserve. Novel features include a multi-lingual, safari-style boat ride (a first in Ireland) and viewing tower offering panoramic views of Tralee Bay. A new Visitor Centre will act as an interpretive centre of the estuarine wetlands and as an orientation centre for the natural history of west and north Kerry. The activity zone comprises a lake for light water sport activities, 2.3km of walking and cycling trails and a smaller lake stocked with fish.
This part of the Kerry coast is increasingly popular with surfers and there are a number of surf schools within easy reach of these holiday homes such as Kingdom Waves Surf School and Tralee Bay Sailing School which offers kayaking and sailing as well as surfing. There is a choice of eight or more sandy beaches less 30Km from these holiday homes, with the nearest being Banna Strand just 10Km away. Other outdoor activities available locally are horse riding, scuba diving at Tralee Waterworld which offers courses for all levels of availability and supplies all necessary equipment. There are a variety of marked walks and trails in the surrounding mountains and along the coast and bicycle hire is available in Tralee.
