This cosy holiday cottage in Kilkenny is a beautifully converted mews, situated across the courtyard from The Stables Farmhouse with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. This wheelchair friendly property offers guests a games room with a pool table and table tennis and  tennis courts.

The tiny village of Ballyhale is 1.6 km away and has a pub, while there is a shop and post office in Knocktophe, 3Km away. Just 10Km away is the larger town of Thomastown, right in the heart of the scenic Nore Valley it has a variety of shops, traditional pubs restaurants and historic ruins which include the well known Jerpoint Abbey.

The medieval town of Kilkenny, is just 20 minutes away with its beautifully restored historic buildings, charming narrow alleyways, craft shops, boutiques, traditional pubs and many restaurants. There are a number of impressive historic sites in the town such as St. Canice’s Cathedral, the imposing Kilkenny Castle and Rothe House & Gardens.

There is a wide variety of out door pursuits on offer in the local area including golf at the excellent Mount Juliet Golf Club or Kilkenny Golf Club, horse riding at Warrington Stud, water sports at Go With the Flow River Adventures and a huge choice of marked walks and trails through this lovely countryside.  Gowran Park Racecourse is less than an hour and a half away and hosts both National Hunt and Flat Races according to the season.

This holiday cottage in Kilkenny is a real rural retreat with the advantage of being only 20 minutes from Kilkenny Town, less than 2 hours from Dublin.

Fabulous place to stay, we rented it with friends for a long weekend and loved it. So peaceful and relaxing and fun with the games room and tennis courts. Definitely recommend!
