This holiday cottage in Enniscrone stands in its own grounds with lovely views of the sea, only 1.6Km from town and a 5Km, sandy beach which is ideal for swimmers and surfers. This traditional seaside resort has plenty to offer visitors from a wide variety of water sports to seaweed baths from golf to ruined castles. The town also has a fantastic leisure centre – Waterpoint which has an indoor swimming pool, gym, sauna, steam room, children’s playground and café. Enniscrone has its own 18 hole championship golf course while Ballina Golf Course, Castlebar Golf Club and Swinford Golf Course are all less than an hour away.
The town has two health spas, The Sunset Spa, offering a variety of treatment and the more unusual Kilcullen’s Seaweed Baths, which offers traditional seaweed baths which relieve aches and pains not to mention being an excellent facial!
Enniscrone has become extremely popular with surfers and has 2 surf schools – Seventh Wave Surf School and Atlantic Surf School which both offer lessons and equipment hire. This part of Sligo’s coast also offers excellent fishing with deep sea fishing boat trips available from Enniscrone Pier. Killala Bay where the town is situated was the location where Ireland’s largest John Dory was caught.
There are a number of heritage sites in the area including the 19th century Old Cliff Baths, O’Dowda Castle and Valentines Church.
