In addition to the sandy beach on your doorstep stretching all the way to Laytown, the local theme park Funtasia will provide children of all ages with hours of entertainment being Ireland’s largest permanent amusement park. There is also the Aura Leisure Centre - an indoor water park 35 minutes away in Navan and karting, paintball and clay pigeon shooting at the Puddenhill Activity Centre, in Garristown.

Newgrange, Co. Meath

No visit to these holiday homes in Meath is complete without a visit to the World Heritage Site of Newgrange, a Neolithic passage tomb constructed over 5000 years ago, making it older than Stonehenge! The tomb is best known for the illumination of its passage and chamber by the winter solstice sun. There is an impressive visitors centre for both this main tomb and neighbouring Knowth and Dowth with guided tours around all three.
