This little coastal town has plenty to offer visitors from a wide variety of water sports to seaweed baths. The town also has a fantastic leisure centre – Waterpoint which has an indoor swimming pool and excellent leisure facilities. There are also two health spas, The Sunset Spa, offering a variety of treatment and the more unusual Kilcullen’s Seaweed Baths, which offers traditional seaweed of locally gathered kelp. Sligo’s coast also offers excellent fishing with deep sea fishing boat trips available from Enniscrone Pier. Killala Bay where the town is situated was the location where Ireland’s largest John Dory was caught.
