The county of Wexford has over 200Km of coastline peppered with harbours and sandy beaches, one of which – Curracloe was used in the filming of Stephen Spielberg’s blockbuster ‘Saving Private Ryan’ for scenes during the Normandy landings.  It is popular with sailors and boatmen having some superb facilities on offer. Rosslare Water Sports Centre holds courses in sailing, kayaking and wind surfing and supplies all necessary equipment. In addition to some excellent deep sea fishing, there is also great angling to be had inland on the Blackwater River and on Lough Mahon which is well stocked with rainbow trout. The Wexford Diving Centre operates from Kilmore Quay. The local area boasts some of the most varied diving in Ireland, with excellent visibility divers can explore wrecks at deapths ranging from 6-60 meters, study marine life on Coninbeg Rocks or watch seals, dolphins and diving birds around the scenic Saltee Islands.

Co. Wexford is a fantastic destination for a family holiday having no end of attractions on offer that will entertain the whole family. Harbour Thrills Sea Safaris leave from Seaview, Murrintown and explore the Wexford Estuary guiding visitors through the local wildlife which includes seals, dolphins and a wide variety of birds.
