These attractive self catering holiday homes in Bettystown are in a lovely courtyard setting 5 minutes from the local shops and just 1.4Km from the local sandy beach which stretches from nearby Laytown all the way to the mouth of the Boyne River at Mornington.

A long established seaside resort, Bettystown is a fantastic destination for a family holiday. In addition to the beach on your doorstep, the local theme park Funtasia will provide children of all ages with hours of entertainment being Ireland’s largest permanent amusement park. There is  the Aura Leisure Link - an indoor water park 35 minutes away in Navan and karting at the Puddenhill Activity Centre, 35 minutes away in Garristown and also the Fantastic Tayto Park in Ashbourne!

There is a good choice of golf available locally with  Laytown & Bettystown Golf Club, Julianstown Golf Club and Bellewstown Golf Club all less than 20 minutes away. Other outdoor activities on offer in the area include angling in at the nearby Boyne Valley Fishery, horse riding at Castle Hill Equestrian Centre, Julianstown or Bellewstown Stables, Duleek, wakeboarding at the Irish Aquatic Sports Centre, Summerhill and plenty of interesting marked walking trails such as the Duleek Heritage Trail and the Boyne Ramparts Trail.

There is a strong equine tradition in this part of Ireland and Meath is famous for the wonderful horses it has produced. Enthusiasts can enjoy racing at the famous Fairyhouse Racecourse, at Navan Racecourse or Bellewstown Raceourse the quite unique annual races on Laytown Strand where the beach is cordoned off as the tide goes out with the grandstand formed by steps cut into the sand dunes. Regular Show Jumping Grand Prix are regularly held at Broadmeadows Equestrian Centre, just 30 minutes from Bettystown in Ashbourne.

No visit to Co. Meath is complete without a trip to Newgrange, a Neolithic passage tomb constructed over 5000 years ago, making it older than Stonehenge! This together with Knowth and Dowth – two nearby smaller sites, has been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

While staying at our self catering accommodation in Bettystown, you are ideally situated to explore the surrounding county of Meath and its neighbours Dublin, West Meath and Louth. Should you want to visit Dublin but avoid the inconvenience having the car in town, there are regular trains from Drogheda (15 minutes from Bettystown) and a bus from the gate which takes you into the heart of Dublin city.

It was so gorgeous. We were so happy at our stay. The house was very clean and so cosy . The garden is just like a fairy-tale. The wonderful Adina was a so kind and nice and very helpful host. She always asked if we need some help. It was so an amazing stay.I can only recommend that beautiful place.

FAB!!! This place was top class, I was 100% happy with EVERYTHING..(have never been able to say that after staying in other holiday accommodation. Spotless, comfy & really pretty with it's lovely balcony through patio doors which opened on to a gorgeous mature huge garden which the kids had lots of fun exploring (put me in mind of 'the secret garden')...& can I just add ..Adina was a wonderful lady..who went above & beyond the call of duty...she provided us with a warm & friendly welcome & was there for anything we needed 24 hours!!..A gem! Defo will be returning next year...family sooo happy = me so happy lol

A great place for a beach holiday with young children especially if the weather is as good as we had for the week. The cottages are spacious, light and airly with a welcoming feel. The decked area and amazing garden just add so much to the properties.
Adina was extremely helpful throughout our stay.
I could have stayed longer and would like to return in the near future.
One point is the lighting from the main road down the driveway is poor especially if you've been out for a late evening stroll.

This was the perfect place for us. The site manager Adina was friendly and helpful. She keeps the houses spotless, well maintained and welcoming. We found Bettystown was a geat base as there is loads to see and do without driving any more than an hour. Lots much closer. We had such a good experiece we're planning a return trip.

My only hangup was no wifi and then poor mobile internet reception. This was annoying when trying to plan days out and journeys.

Really enjoyed our recent stay at the Courtyard in Bettystown. Very clean and comfortable. Very well suited for a family with small children... gorgeous garden out the back for them to explore as well as a great place to relax when the weather is good. Adina the site manager could not have been a better host - friendly, helpful and provided top service - especially since we had extra requirements having young children.

As mentioned in previous reviews, the lack of internet at this location is a negative if like me you are addicted to your smartphone or laptop etc - 3G vodaphone coverage is there but very weak - Meteor is much better - not sure about o2. That said, we had a prolonged stay here so got quite used to being 'cut off' from the internet and ended up quite enjoying the experience.

All up - would recommend without a doubt.

This is my second visit since 2004 with my family. Nothing has changed, a lovely place to stay for adults and children. Well maintained and lovely gardens. I know we will be back again, a couple of kind suggestions could the bath towels be larger.

There was a lovely welcome from the supervisor, who was very helpful. We had a good week and enjoyed our stay. The only negative aspect was the darkness and cool temperature of the main living room. I imagine that, if you ask for a cottage overlooking the main garden, the living space would be lighter. We would also have valued having access to wifi - although the lack of it meant we had more family conversation!

We have been staying at The Courtyard Bettystown this week and loved every minute of our stay there . We were welcomed on site by your gracious host Adina who made sure everything was excellent for us. We would certainly recommend these properties and would hope to stay there again.

Online pictures dont do these cottages any justice. House itself was spotless, zero hassle booking in/checking out. Lovely quiet area but the gem is that little secret garden, a really well kept little communal garden with BBQ facilities and seating. A real bonus. Grounds are very well kept and the house is in excellent condition. Bettystown is a good base for travelling around meath but the town itself has very little to offer (obviously with exception of the beach). Very impressed with the cottages, if only they were located elsewhere

My wife and I have just returned from what must be our seventh or even tenth, stay at this complex ( The Courtyard Bettystown ) our son and family live near by. On every occasion the facilities have been ideal and the welcome has been excellent. All a credit to your organisation and to your representative and caretaker at the site. Yours sincerely Keith Stent
