The nearest village is Ballylickey which is situated on the coast road between Bantry and Glengarriff. The townland of Ballylickey is a beautiful and popular stop off point for tourists to the area. Manning’s Emporium which is a famous landmark on the food trail of West Cork is located in Ballylickey, a 10 minute drive from Ardnagashel Woods Holiday Homes.
The area is surrounded by a sheltered coastline, with miles of walking tracks to explore. There are several little bays and inlets where you can swim and fish. Nearby, visitors will also find golf courses, sailing activities and gardens to visit.

On route you will find the picturesque seaside town of Kinsale. The town has an array of highly acclaimed and award winning restaurants offering the very best of locally sourced products.
A little hidden gem on route is Molly Gallivan's Visitor Centre, a 200-year-old family run cottage and farm. You will experience the simple country lifestyle in rural Ireland before the days of electricity & modern conveniences. Molly’s old tea shop and barn restaurant is very unique, taste foods cooked and baked in the traditional fashion.
There are plenty of islands worth visiting in West Cork such as Clare Island, Sherkin Island or Bere Island, all of which have a regular ferry service.
Go off the beaten track and find Teddy O Sullivan's Bar, a hidden gem in Kilmackillogue on the Beara Peninsula. The seafood platter is just devine and the view from Kilmackillogue harbour is the cherry on top.
