The quaint country style kitchen has everything you need for a relaxed self-catering holiday in Ireland. The living area offers comfortable seating, multi-channel TV, wood burning stove and magnificent views of the Atlantic Ocean and countryside.

Please note there is a steep step from the kitchen to the living area which is unsuitable for anyone with limited mobility.
Carna - Local AreaThe village of Carna just 5km from Tigh Sheamuis is an Irish speaking village. In this pretty village you will find a selection of shops, restaurants, pubs, a pharmacy, café, petrol station and hotel. The traditional pubs have many unplanned Irish music sessions in the summer months. Carna also contains a Garda Síochána station, a health centre and an Irish Coastguard lifeboat.
To the north Cashel is a peaceful seaside village, situated on Cashel Bay, an inlet of Bertarghboy Bay. It is located on the west coast of Ireland an area of outstanding beauty. It takes its name from a circular stone fort, the remains of which lie on the slope of a mountain about 1 Km to the north-east.
There are a variety of local activities including golfing, horse-riding or try the many water-based activities available locally such as diving, snorkelling, kayaking and fishing.
Things to see and do in ConnemaraTigh Sheamuis is a mere 30-minute drive from the vibrant town of Clifden, a vibrant market town. This lively seaside town is packed with good restaurants, cosy cafes, trad bars and craft shops. There are numerous popular festivals throughout the year in Clifden, including the famous Connemara Pony Festival and the Arts Festival in September.
Walkers and hikers will be spoilt for choice with the selection of walking trials and mountain hikes available locally. Explore the Maumahoge Mountains, the Twelve Bens mountain range, Derrygimla where the first ever transatlantic telecommunications took place, the Maumeen Mountain Pass and the Diamond Hill Trail to name but a few.
