Castlemartyr Holiday Mews' & Lodges are located within the grounds of Castlemartyr Resort beside Castlemartyr village in County Cork. In close proximity to Garryvoe beach, Fota Wildlife Park, Ballymaloe, Cobh, Cork City, Youghal and a whole range of top attractions these luxury holiday homes are the perfect choice for a family holiday or group getaway in Ireland.

Nestled in 220 acres of mature landscaped grounds, with meandering streams, parklands and a tranquil lake abundant with wildlife adjacent to the 5-Star Castlemartyr Hotel. Please note there is no access to the hotel’s leisure centre or swimming pool, but guests can enjoy the onsite golf course, hotel restaurant & bar facilities and hotel spa at an extra charge. Golfers will enjoy the challenging 18-hole golf course adjacent to our holiday accommodation in Castlemartyr Resort, noted as one of the best golf courses in Ireland.

2 Bed Mews' Description

Our 2 and 3 bed Mews’ are situated beside the main hotel and within the grounds of the 12th Century Castle. Because of their close proximity to the hotel they are the perfect accommodation option if you are attending a wedding or hotel function at Castlemartyr Hotel. The mews can be easily reached on foot within 2 minutes.

Castlemartyr 2 Bed Holiday Mews' have a modern open plan living room, dining room and kitchen area. The modern kitchen is well equipped providing all you need for a very comfortable self-catering holiday in Ireland.

The living room has comfortable sofas and a large smart flatscreen TV with highspeed internet. You can access Netflix via your own personal account, YouTube and a range of other apps. If you book one of our holiday mews's you will have access to 8 Irish channels.

Each 2 bed holiday mews has 2 bedrooms and sleeps 4 guests:

There is a family bathroom located on the ground floor.

Alternative Accommodation Options Available at Castlemartyr Resort

We have a range of accommodation options located within the grounds of Castlemartyr Resort. Our 2 & 3 bed lodges are situated in the walled garden, less than a 10-minute walk from the hotel spa, bar and many on-site hotel facilities. These cluster of holiday lodges are a perfect base for holiday with a group of friends or a large family gathering. The lodges are situated in the grounds of the former orchards and greenhouses with many of the features still present. The area is also home to one of Ireland’s oldest trees, “The Cork Tree” located in the South West corner of the walls.

We are delighted to offer families who stay in our holiday lodges a free family pass to Leahy's Open Farm. You will receive your free family pass (2 adults & 2 children) upon check-in to your holiday lodge at Castlemartyr.

Leahy’s Open Farm is located in East Cork, a 12-minute drive from our holiday lodges at Castlemartyr and 3 miles from the lovely village of Dungourney. A great day out for all the family, with a huge selection of animal’s sheep and lambs, cuddly bunnies that the kids can feed. There are many activities located on the farm including crackers crazy golf, adventure trail & climbing towers, an obstacle course and much more. The farm also has a large restaurant and coffee shop plus a selection of picnic areas.

Surrounding Area - Local Amenities & Attractions

Castlemartyr village in east Cork is easily reachable on foot, a 5 – 15-minute walk away with a selection of amenities. Ideally Castlemartyr has a large grocery store, traditional Irish pubs, restaurants, cosy cafes and pharmacy ensuring any essentials you may need can be found locally.

Garryvoe beach is 6km away or visit Youghal (18km) which is home to Strand Beach and Claycastle Blue Flag Beach, two sandy beaches located side by side and within walking distance of Youghal town. Another favourite is Fota Wildlife Park, 17 km from our holiday accommodation in Castlemartyr, making them the perfect choice for a family holiday in Ireland.

Visit Ballymaloe Restaurant and Café (8km) run by the Allen Family, set deep within lush countryside and serves delicious home food grown and sourced locally. Throughout the year many events and functions take place in the outbuildings, Ballymaloe Grainstore, Carrigaun Room and in the Big Shed. Ballymaloe Cookery School, Organic Farm and Gardens is situated in the village of Shanagarry. A multi-award-winning cookery school offering a range of courses, delivering a first-class culinary education to students all over the world. Our holiday accommodation is the perfect choice for anyone attending an event, cookery course or function in Ballymaloe.

Take 20 minute drive to Ballycotton and visit the unique Sea Church. This multidisciplinary venue is housed in a fully refurbished church located right at the coast. Try a locally sourced food served in the casual-dining, modern restaurant and taste sea-inspired cocktails while adoring truly dramatic Atlantic views. Sea Church hosts various music & art events, but is also available to hire for a private occasions.

Cork City is 30km from our self-catering accommodation, making access easy from Cork Airport where car hire can be arranged. Here you can visit some of Cork top attractions such as the famous English Market, Cork Public Museum & Fitzgerald's Park, Elizabeth Fort, Barrack Street and Collins Barracks Cork Military Museum.

IMPORTANT NOTES

1. Heating and Electricity:
This is an extra charge which is mostly payable to the Property Manager/Owner. In some cases, energy is charged at a fixed daily rate or a rate per unit on the units consumed or you are required to top up a Pre-Paid Meter while in others, energy charges are included in the rate you have paid. We advise you to check with the local Owner/ Property Manager prior to arrival how this is calculated or prior to making the booking.

2. Security Deposit:
A minimum refundable security deposit of €200 (per property) must be paid prior to check-in to your holiday home to the local Property Manager/ Owner. This is either taken over the phone by pre-authorising your credit card when you call the Property Manager to arrange your arrival time 48 hours in advance of arrival or at others it is taken on arrival. In some locations and at certain times of year this can increase to €500 per property.
