Located in a quiet enclave as you enter the pretty seaside village of Dunmore East are Forest Haven Holiday Homes. Our self catering accommodation in Waterford is close to all of the amenities this lovely fishing village has to offer. This seaside holiday destination in Ireland's Ancient East has a working harbour and two lovely sandy coves, Counsellor’s Strand and Lawlor’s Strand.
In each holiday home there is an open plan kitchen, living and dining room area perfect for a self catering holiday. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need for you need for a carefree holiday in Waterford. French doors opening out onto a patio and into a small garden, perfect for outside dining and entertaining. Please note the gardens are not enclosed.
On the first floor there are three bedrooms; 1 double en-suite bedroom and 2 twin bedrooms together with a family bathroom.
Wi-Fi is available and included in the rental fee.
For a wonderful adventure and great day out try The Waterford Greenway, a spectacular 46km off-road cycling and walking trail along an old railway line between Waterford and Dungarvan. You and your guests will enjoy a beautiful journey across three tall viaducts from the river to the sea. If you are interested in cycling the Waterford Greenway, we would recommend booking your bikes in advance. A pick up and drop off shuttle bus service can be arranged from your holiday home in Dunmore East depending on group numbers. Bikes can be hired via Waterford Greenway Cycle Tour & Bike Hire however booking's must be made in advance and cannot be guaranteed during peak periods.
The public play ground overlooks the sea and is located in the centre of the village and adjacent to the public tennis courts.
For those who enjoy golf, Dunmore East Golf Club is situated on the cliff, overlooking the village. This 18 hole, par 72 course is set out on over 180 acres and has received wonderful reviews from both golf writers and players alike. The Clubhouse Bar and Lighthouse Restaurant at Dunmore East Golf Club consists of a cosy snug bar overlooking the 18th green with panoramic views of the Atlantic coastline and famous hook lighthouse. Serving good quality bar food and speciality drafts and wine, this is the perfect place to unwind after a good game of golf.
The cliffs and coves, which this part of the coast is famous for, are really spectacular and offer some lovely walks and scenic drives. They are also home to a wide variety of flora and fauna and so are a real treat for nature lovers.
From the Lighthouse Bar & Restaurant you and your self-catering guests will be spoilt with unparalleled views over the Celtic Sea and across to Hook Head and beyond. The Strand Inn which overlooks Lawlor’s sandy beach, a picture-perfect pitstop for a warm cuppa or something a little stronger after a long walk along the coast!
For a relaxed affair the Spinnaker Bar is within easy walking distance to many of our self-catering holiday homes in Dunmore East. Food is served in a relaxed environment - don’t forget to try the famous Spinnaker’s Seafood Chowder - a must on your next self catering holiday in Dunmore East. Also located in the heart of Dunmore East is Azzurro, a family run bar and restaurant serving mouth-watering Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. There are many more eateries in the village and local area such as the Haven Hotel and Power’s Bar worth visiting.
Dunmore East is also only 20mins from Waterford City Centre, which is home to Waterford Crystal and Waterford Treasures in the Viking Triangle. Our self catering accommodation in Dunmore East is also a prime location from which to tour the surrounding county of Waterford and its neighbours, Cork, Kilkenny and Wexford.

The check in time and check out times need to change. 10am check out and 5pm check in are poor compared to competitor offerings - you loose a day of your holiday!
