Description
The Fota Resort is a unique 780 acre estate in Co. Cork, accessed by a tree lined drive of magnificent oak and sycamores with wonderful self-catering accommodation in a courtyard setting, close to all the amenities of the luxury resort. Visitors to the holiday cottages have full access to the swimming pool, golf course and golf academy and the luxury spa. This combination of a rural retreat with lots to do and see right beside you, make this a great choice for visitors to Co. Cork.
There are different types of self-catering accommodation, each holiday cottage traditionally styled with high-pitched roofs of natural slate and windows of Nordic pine, which sit beautifully into the natural and planted landscape. The 2 bedroom Aviary holiday cottages are in a courtyard setting and have an open plan kitchen / dining / living area with flame effect fire. On the first floor are two double bedrooms (both en suite).
Visitors have full access to the resort’s luxury facilities which include golf course, golf academy, swimming pool, hydrotherapy suite and hammam. Use of the pool is free of charge with some restricted access times for children and spa treatments are at an extra charge.
This impressive championship golf course is situated in the heart of the stunning estate and you can avail of a 20% discount on green fees. For the children, Fota Wild Life Park is a fabulous day out. With over 90 species of animals living at the park, it is more like a safari than a traditional zoo with the animals allowed to roam free with an unobtrusive barrier between them and visitors. In addition to the animals, the park has a playground, restaurant, picnic area, tour train and seasonal children’s events.
These holiday cottages in Fota Resort are an excellent base from which to explore the coast and seaside villages of Co. Cork and neighbouring Co. Waterford. Visitors have the advantage of the tranquility of the resort whilst still being within 15 minutes of Cork City with its many attractions.

I received an email about my accommodation prior to my arrival and collecting my key. There was no contact tel number, and the go to page was blank. On my arrival I was given the Avery Lodge and I had booked the Court Yard Lodge. However the house I see more

Upon review we were informed that there was an issue with the details attached to this lodge in our system. This issue has since we resolved and we would like to thank you for taking the time to highlight this to us. We also took the time to contact Fota about the mix up with the different lodges available onsite.
