Tully Holiday Cottage is a large self-catering cottage in Connemara sleeping 9 guests comfortably. The large kitchen and adjacent dining room provides ample space for you and your guests to enjoy meals together. The bright kitchen is equipped with all the essentials you need for a self-catering holiday cottage in Ireland.

To the front of the house is the living room which has a multi-fuel stove, multi-channel TV, DVD player and comfortable furnishings where you and your guests can relax after a day of exploring part of Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way and Connemara region.

Local Area – Tully village and the Renvyle Peninsula

Tully is a quaint and a picturesque seaside village on the Renvyle Peninsula, a short stroll from Trá na mBean or Ladies beach. Kids will love exploring the rock pools and sheltered coves along the coast and alongside the small pier at Tully. Bring a picnic to the small pier at Tully a fun place for children and adults to spend the day exploring, fishing and swimming.

There is a music house in Tully called, Teach Ceoil. It has been the home of social and cultural life in north west Connemara since it first opened its doors in 1977. A centre for Irish culture, traditional music plus song and dance. It has hosted hundreds of local, national and international performers over the years and launched the careers of Mirella Murray of Cherish the Ladies, and dancers Chelsea Kane of Lord of the Dance, Patrick Coyne of Riverdance and Emma O’Sullivan of Trad on the Prom. Teach Ceoil hosts music, song and dance classes throughout the year plus every Tuesday evening during July and August, the best of the best of local Irish musicians, singers and dancers perform as part of Seisiún.

You will be spoilt for choice with the many beautiful walks around Tully, a starting point of many beautiful walks. If you or your guests are lovers of horses you can rent a horse from Diamonds Equestrian Centre based in the village. And bike hire is also available from Diamonds.

Things to see and do in Connemara

Connemara National Park which opened to the public in 1980 is 6km from this self-catering holiday cottage in Galway. The national park is one of six national parks in Ireland and one of the top tourist attractions in Galway.

Another popular tourist attraction is Kylemore Abbey, only 9km away making this holiday home the perfect base for exploring some of Connemara’s top tourist attractions.
You will be spoilt for choice with the selection of sandy beaches and turquoise waters dotted along the coast of the Wild Atlantic Way.

From Tully Holiday Cottage, you can follow the Connemara Loop on a scenic route of the Wild Atlantic Way and enjoy the magnificent scenery of majestic mountains, spectacular beaches and lakes. Stop off at one of the many villages along the way for a bite to eat and experience the laid back and relaxed feel that Connemara has to offer.

Fishing, boat trips, pony trekking, hill walking, trail running, plus a selection of water sports are all accessible locally and within easy reach.
