Self Catering Holiday Homes in Durrus, Co. Cork

The little village of Durrus is located at the head of Dunmanus Bay on what is called the 'Friendly Cove', between two peninsulas -Mizen Head and Sheep’s Head, on a stretch of one of the loveliest and most unspoilt coastlines in Ireland including the Sheep’s Head Way.

There are numerous coves and sandy beaches along the coast lines of these two peninsulas, the nearest to Durrus being the lovely Barley Cove situated between Goleen and Crookhaven. The sandy dunes of this beach have been designated a ‘European Area of Special Conservation’. There are a number of farmers markets in the area and some excellent restaurants featuring local produce such as ‘The Good Things Café’ in the village of Durrus itself which also has a cookery school.
