Kilmore is a perfect base for exploring Ireland’s Sunny South East, located near the village of Kilmore Quay in County Wexford. This pretty village in Wexford is a small rural village with a Day Break grocery shop, An Post and a beautiful array of traditional pretty thatched cottages. Kilmore is also home to Mary Barry’s Bar renowned for its extensive menu serving a selection of sea food landed locally in Kilmore Quay.

The picturesque village of Kilmore Quay is only 7km from Kilmore. You and your guests will be spoilt for choice with a variety of seafood restaurants with fresh daily catch. There are also traditional pubs, a children’s playground, sandy coves and boat hire all in the beautiful fishing village of Kilmore Quay.

Take a trip to the Saltee Islands situated 5km off the coast of Kilmore Quay in County Wexford. Walk the Ballyteige Burrow trail, one of the finest sand dune systems in the South East of Ireland. There are three trail options to choose from, along the beach, through the dunes or on the path by the fence that separates the dunes from the adjoining farmland. You will find an abundance of seabirds and wildlife around this nature reserve.

A little further afield is the bustling town of Wexford with many shops, restaurants, stunning blue flag beaches and a wide range of activities. A wonderful base for exploring both counties Wexford and Waterford.
