Cleggan Harbour Holiday Home No.1 is a spacious holiday home located in the beautiful coastal village of Cleggan in Galaway. The seaside holiday home is centrally located in the vibrant village of Cleggan. Ideally the local grocery store, bars and village restaurants activities are located right across the road. Cleggan village offers wonderful bars and restaurants, all serving fresh seafood dishes. The local grocery store is well stocked with all necessary supplies for your next self-catering holiday in Galway.
Cleggan Harbour Holiday Home has 4 bedrooms and sleeps 8 guests. On the ground floor you will find an open plan kitchen, dining and living room. The living room area has timber floors, comfortable suite, TV & DVD player and open fire. The large kitchen and dining room is very well equipped with all necessary equipment and modern conveniences including a dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, electric hob and double oven. Double doors open out on to the garden area, which includes garden furniture ideal for outside dining. A guest bathroom with WC and hand basin and a separate utility room which houses a washing machine and dryer are also on the ground floor.
The first floor of the property has 3 bedrooms and the main family bathroom. The bedrooms consist of a double bedroom, a single bedroom and a family room. The family room has a double and single bed. The main bathroom with bath, electric shower, basin and WC.
One the second floor there is a 4th bedroom which is a large double bedroom with en-suite bathroom.
All bedrooms in the property have wooden furniture and carpets. The property is centrally heated throughout. Heating, electricity and WiFi is included and Wi-fi is included.
This is an ideal property for families and groups of friends. Explore Connemara during the day and relax or entertain at the house in the evenings. It is worth exploring the immediate area to experience the panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and breath-taking seascapes.
Take a day trip to Inishbofin by ferry from Cleggan harbour or enjoy a day sea fishing. Explore the off-shore islands or take a pony trek along the coast towards Omey Strand and Omey Island. Clifden town can be reached within 10 minutes’ drive, and Connemara National park is a 15-minute drive.
Cleggan is a picturesque fishing village with a busy village harbour. Ferries leave the pier daily for Inishbofin Island, and there is also a ferry to Inishturk. Cleggan has four bars (Oliver’s, Joyce’s, Newman’s, and The Pier Bar), one grocer, and a post office. It also boasts a children’s playground, community hall, and lots of car parking spaces.
During the busy season the bars are busy with traditional music to entertain visitors and locals alike. In addition to trips to the local islands, popular leisure activities for visitors include horseback riding, fishing trips and island tours. Cleggan Riding Centre offers scenic pony trekking across Cleggan Beach and to tidal island of Omey at low tide. Sea fishing charters and island tours are also offered in the village.

This is an extra charge which is mostly payable to the Property Manager/Owner. In some cases, energy is charged at a fixed daily rate or a rate per unit on the units consumed or you are required to top up a Pre-Paid Meter while in others, energy charges are included in the rate you have paid. We advise you to check with the local Owner/ Property Manager prior to arrival how this is calculated or prior to making the booking.
2. Security Deposit:
A minimum refundable security deposit of €200 (per property) must be paid prior to check-in to your holiday home to the local Property Manager/ Owner. This is either taken over the phone by pre-authorising your credit card when you call the Property Manager to arrange your arrival time 48 hours in advance of arrival or at others it is taken on arrival. In some locations and at certain times of year this can increase to €500 per property.

Pet Friendly Holiday Home in Galway
Cleggan Harbour Holiday Home is a pet-friendly holiday home. This property will accept a maximum of 1 dog. Please reserve at the time of booking via our call centre +353 (0)1 201 8440, as your pet will not be accepted without prior confirmation. Pets are not permitted in the bedrooms, on carpeted areas or on the furniture. Pets must not be left in the property unsupervised and must be exercised off premises. The House has everything for the Irish Holiday with a family, 4 bedrooms, 3 good size bathrooms, washer, Dryer, good Oven and Fridge freezer, excellent beaches all around it, shop and great Pub/Restaurant across the road, Clifden 10 minutes away, Inisee more
