Clifden Glen Holiday Village No.92 is a well-presented holiday home situated in a magnificent natural environment of mountain, meadow and river with spectacular views of the renowned Connemara landscape.
Located in the heart of Connemara, these cluster of holiday homes are an ideal base for those looking to book a family holiday or group getaway.
This is a 2-bedroom self-catering holiday home sleeping 4 guests:
Ground Floor:
- Double bedroom, sleeping 2
First Floor:
- Twin bedroom with ensuite, sleeping 2
The family bathroom is located on the ground floor and includes a large open electric shower, WC & sink.
Please note there is a steep hill at the rear of the holiday home down to the river and there is no fence. Heating and electricity costs are included in the rental price.
Families will love the onsite facilities in the holiday village which include a children’s play area and tennis courts. Fishing is available on the adjacent Owen Glen River and permits are available locally.
The owner or their agent will be in touch with you in advance of your arrival for card details to act as a security deposit of €150 for your stay.
Go fishing, cycling, wild swimming on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way, kayaking, horse riding plus much more. Both Kylemore Abbey and Connemara National Park are a short drive away and a must see on your self-catering holiday in Connemara.
Walkers and dog lovers will be spoilt for choice with the selection of walking trials and mountain hikes available locally. Explore the Maumahoge Mountains, the Twelve Bens Mountain range, Derrygimla where the first ever transatlantic telecommunications took place, the Maumeen Mountain Pass and the Diamond Hill Trail to name but a few. There are so many walking trails along quiet country roads and along the shores of Galway’s Wild Atlantic Way, a top holiday destination for a walking holiday in Ireland.
The gorgeous beaches at Dogs Bay and Gurteen are close by and well worth a visit. Connemara’s rugged coastline boasts some of Ireland’s finest beaches, with stretches of pure white sands and turquoise waters. You will be spoilt for choice with the selection of sandy beaches dotted along the coast in Galway.
This is an extra charge which is mostly payable to the Property Manager/Owner. In some cases, energy is charged at a fixed daily rate or a rate per unit on the units consumed or you are required to top up a Pre-Paid Meter while in others, energy charges are included in the rate you have paid. We advise you to check with the local Owner/ Property Manager prior to arrival how this is calculated or prior to making the booking.
2. Security Deposit:
A minimum refundable security deposit of €200 (per property) must be paid prior to check-in to your holiday home to the local Property Manager/ Owner. This is either taken over the phone by pre-authorising your credit card when you call the Property Manager to arrange your arrival time 48 hours in advance of arrival or at others it is taken on arrival. In some locations and at certain times of year this can increase to €500 per property.
