Lough Corrib View Holiday Home is set in an elevated position overlooking Lough Corrib in the heart of Connemara in County Galway. The area surrounding this holiday accommodation is home to some of the most magnificent scenery in Ireland. The quaint villages of Cornamona and Maum are a 4-minute drive away and the well-known village of Leenaun is a 20-minute drive away.
Enjoy magnificent mountain and lake views of Lough Corrib and Castlekirk from this spacious holiday accommodation. Situated in Joyce Country this is a very popular area for lake fishing and hill walking.
This holiday home has 4 bedrooms and sleeps 8 comfortably:

From the front bedrooms you will enjoy wonderful countryside, mountain and lake views or hill and woodland views in the rear bedrooms. All bedrooms have ample storage and wardrobes. There is a large bathroom with a separate shower cubicle with electric shower, WC and sink.
From the outdoor seating area, you will be treated to delightful views. Relax or dine alfresco after a day exploring the Galway. There is oil central heating throughout this holiday home. Ideally parking is available for up to three cars outside this holiday home.
Wi-Fi is included in the rental fee. Pets are strictly not allowed at this holiday home.
The Western Way, a long-distance walking trail, can be joined at Maum, which will take you to the ancient site of Mámean. Walkers will be spoilt for choice with the selection of walking trials and mountain hikes available locally. Explore the Maumahoge Mountains, the Twelve Bens Mountain range, Derrygimla where the first ever transatlantic telecommunications took place, the Maumeen Mountain Pass and the Diamond Hill Trail to name but a few.
The local area is popular for fishing with Lough Corrib, Lough Mask and Lough Nafooey in close proximity to this property. The pretty village of Cong and the luxurious 5 start hotel of Ashford Castle is a 15-minute drive away.
Head north and explore Leenane and the coastline at Killary Harbour. A little further afield are the larger towns of Ballinrobe, Westport, Oughterard and Clifden. From this holiday home you will be surrounded by magnificent scenery and an array of outdoor attractions. Go fishing, cycling, wild swimming on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way, kayaking, horse riding plus much more. Both Kylemore Abbey and Connemara National Park are a short drive away and a must see on your self-catering holiday in Connemara.
The vibrant town of Clifden is 45-minute drive from this holiday home. The town is packed with unique shops, excellent restaurants, cafes, cosy pubs with live traditional music sessions and a variety of grocery shops. There are a number of festivals in Connemara during the year, including the Arts Festival in September, Clifden Traditional Music Festival and the popular Connemara Pony Show held every year on the third Thursday in August.
Galway’s rugged coastline boasts some of Ireland’s finest beaches, with stretches of pure white sands and turquoise waters. Sandy beaches dot the coast of Galway such as Dogs Bay, Anchor Beach, Gurteen and Omey to name but a few. The scenery surrounding Maum is sure to provide a memorable self-catering holiday in Ireland.

This is an extra charge which is mostly payable to the Property Manager/Owner. In some cases, energy is charged at a fixed daily rate or a rate per unit on the units consumed or you are required to top up a Pre-Paid Meter while in others, energy charges are included in the rate you have paid. We advise you to check with the local Owner/ Property Manager prior to arrival how this is calculated or prior to making the booking.
2. Security Deposit:
A minimum refundable security deposit of €200 (per property) must be paid prior to check-in to your holiday home to the local Property Manager/ Owner. This is either taken over the phone by pre-authorising your credit card when you call the Property Manager to arrange your arrival time 48 hours in advance of arrival or at others it is taken on arrival. In some locations and at certain times of year this can increase to €500 per property.

The living room offers comfortable furniture, TV and cosy open fire. Sit back and enjoy views of Lough Corrib, Castlekirk, and surrounding mountains from the large living room window. We love the location and the house layout. Views are amazing. Patrick the owner is a lovely man, gave us great tips on areas to visit. Salthill is a must see as is the towns of Cong and Oughterard. Kids got to feed the lambs with Patrick which they lsee more
