This wonderful lakeshore cottage is situated in a peaceful and idyllic location close to Oughterard, with direct access to Lough Corrib just 50m from the front door. It offers unrivalled views of the lake and surroundings.
Ideal for those who are seeking a peaceful retreat, while still being just a short drive from local towns, villages, attractions, and activities. This is a perfect cottage for couples, families, and friends.
The entrance to the property is lake-facing and offers fantastic views of Lough Corrib.
The living room is furnished with comfortable sofas and armchairs, electric fire, and multi-channel TV, and offers lake, island, and garden views.
The spacious combined farmhouse-style kitchen and dining area is well equipped with all necessary equipment including a dishwasher, cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, slow cooker and much more. A utility room is adjacent to the kitchen and houses a washing machine.

Both double bedrooms offer views of the gardens, Lough Corrib, and its islands. The remaining two bedrooms are single bedrooms, with views to the rear garden area.

The property is heated throughout by an oil heating system.
Cot and highchair available. Care should be taken with babies, toddlers, and young children due to the proximity of the open lake shore to the property.
Smoking is not allowed indoors.
Pets are welcome.

The average population of pochard on Lough Corrib is 8,600 and the whooper swan, hen harrier and kingfisher have also been recently recorded at close to Lough Corrib, all of which are listed on the EU Birds Directive.
The freshwater trout and salmon fishing on Lough Corrib attracts fishermen worldwide. Boat hire is available at the property. The cottage is situated within a three-minute drive of Oughterard village, which is host to many shops, café, bars, restaurants, and services. The village will provide you with everything you need for your self-catering stay.
Local activities in Oughterard include a boat trip on Lough Corrib. Go on a cruise to Inchagoill Island and Cong from Oughterard. The Corrib Queen departs from Oughterard pier and sails onto Inchagoill Island. Enjoy views of the Connemara mountains, Lough Corrib's 365 islands and Inisheanbo, one of the most beautiful islands on the lake.
Located just 2 miles outside Oughterard is Aughnanure Castle. At the top of the castle, you can take in the fabulous views of the surrounding area. A small bit further approximately 7 miles outside of Oughterard is Curraghduff Farm. On the farm, there is a lot of different wildlife which makes this farm unique. Children will love the Alpaca which you can bring for a walk around the farm, a perfect family day out in Connemara.
