Churchmount Holiday Home is situated in the beautiful village of Roundwood in the very scenic Garden of Ireland on the east coast of Ireland. Guests staying at Churchmount Holiday Home have the added bonus of being within walking distance to the local shops, pubs, take-aways and restaurants in this pretty village.
The countryside surrounding Roundwood is renowned for its natural beauty. There is a wide choice of walking and biking trails throughout the Wicklow Mountains National Park, for you to enjoy on your next self-catering holiday in Wicklow. Local mountain bike trails include Ballinastoe Wood, Carrick Mountain, Hush Mountain Biking Club, Ticknock Forest, Belmont Biking Farm and Glencullen Adventure Park known as the GAP. Ideally bikes can be hired locally and the varies club.

Outside this pretty holiday home is an enclosed mature garden with decking, garden furniture and BBQ provided. On-street parking is available in front of the house for convenience but guests can also park in an allocated parking space at the back of the house.
Roundwood is a haven for outdoor pursuits nestled beside the Vartry Reservoirs on the foothills of the Wicklow mountains. Buy a day or annual ticket from Dublin Corporation and enjoy a peaceful day of fly fishing in the local upper lake. The local equestrian club, Wicklow Equestrian Centre hold a number of pony camps offering young people the chance to learn how to care for and ride ponies.
Head south (29km) and visit the award-winning Mickey Finns pub in Redcross. This famous pub serves delicious Irish cuisine and even has its own brewery on site. Book a tour and learn about the award-winning products produced here.
Venture into the mountains and visit 'Ireland's highest pub' Johnny Fox’s (22km) a must while staying in Roundwood. Step back in time to discover a true traditional Irish experience at the well-known Hooley Night which includes their famous troupe of Irish dancers, lively band playing traditional Irish music and a four-course meal from their award-winning kitchen.
Another top attraction is Powerscourt Estate (17km), located in the pretty village of Enniskerry. This is a large country estate which is noted for its house and award-winning landscaped gardens, today occupying 19 hectares. Enjoy a coffee or a bite to eat at the Powerscourt Avoca Café, which must have one of the best views in Ireland across to the Great Sugar Loaf.
Mount Usher Gardens (13km) yet another award-winning garden is situated in Ashford village. This magnificent garden is spread out over 20 acres along the River Vartry. Established in 1868, this unique garden in Ireland as over 5000 plant species.
For another fantastic day out venture to Splash Valley (18km), an aqua-park located in Hidden Valley Holiday Park in Rathdrum. The 1,800-square-metre park includes some 30 obstacles arranged around a small, manmade lake. Splash Valley is open to day-visitors, with hour-long slots available. To participate you need to be aged 7 or over, and at least 110cm tall, for the aqua park. The park is a 20-minute drive from Churchmount Holiday Home and you’ll need bring togs and towels for changing.
Clara Lara Fun Park(14km), offers a unique outdoor adventure experience and a healthy and creative fun day out for families and groups of children. Cara Lara is located on 30 acres of beautiful countryside in the Avonmore River valley with tree houses, Tarzan swings, rope bridges, rowing boats, water slides, rafts, canoes and junior go-carts. You will love the breath-taking aqua shuttle - the biggest water slide in Ireland. Other activities include mini golf, miles of hill walking through the spectacular countryside and a junior playground. There is a picnic restaurant which services a range of hot and cold food and an extensive riverside picnic area with barbecues. Clara Lara Fun Park is the ultimate escape to the wilderness.
The seaside towns of Bray and Greystones are short distance away with their sandy beaches, fab restaurants and amusement, you will be guaranteed a great day out for all the family. Dublin is also easily accessible too via public transport hop on the DART from Greystones or Bray or St. Kevin’s Bus Service runs daily services from Dublin to Glendalough. The N11 leads you north towards Dublin and the M50 or south towards Wexford and the Sunny South East.

In some locations and at certain times of year this can increase to €500 per property.
