Bridgetown - County Wexford

Bridgetown is a small rural village in County Wexford with a selection of grocery shops, a cafe and a number of traditional pubs. Our holiday accommodation in Bridgetown is the perfect base for exploring Ireland’s Sunny South East. County Wexford is the proud home to some of the best beaches in Ireland. With over 250 km of coastline, there is no end to the stunning beaches along the coast that you can explore. 

Kilmore is located 2 km south of our holiday accommodation in Bridgetown. Home to Mary Barry’s Bar which is renowned for its extensive menu serving a selection of seafood which lands locally in Kilmore Quay. This pretty village has a grocery shop, post office and a beautiful array of traditional pretty thatched cottages. 

The popular seaside village of Kilmore Quay is 7 km south. You and your guests will be spoilt for choice with the variety of seafood restaurants selling fresh daily catch. There is a selection of traditional pubs, a children’s playground, and sandy coves. Hire a boat and enjoy a day out fishing along the Wexford coast. 

Take a trip to the Saltee Islands or walk the Ballyteige Burrow trail, one of the finest dune systems in the South East of Ireland. A little further afield is the bustling town of Wexford with its many shops, restaurants, and a wide range of activities. Enjoy a concert at the Wexford Opera House which plays host to the opera festival every Autumn or plan a day trip to the Irish National Heritage Park, a must on your next holiday in Wexford. 

Bridgetown is a wonderful base for exploring both counties Wexford and Waterford. Go surfing, kite-surfing, paddle boarding, horse-riding, or take a quiet coastal walk along the Wexford coast.
