The town of Killarney is at the gateway of the Killarney National Park which boasts acres of stunning scenery, lakes, and archaeological remains. Bicycles are available for hire locally and the Killarney Riding Stables offers trekking through the park for all levels of rider from novice to advanced providing a novel and fun means of enjoying this spectacular scenery. 

The majestic MacGillycuddy Reeks stand to the west of the Killarney Valley and offer some fantastic hikes and cycle trails with well-known vantage points such as the Gap of Dunloe. For those who are feeling less energetic, there is a huge choice of coach trips and boat trips around the ‘Ring of Kerry’ and Lakes of Killarney. Golfers have a choice of several excellent golf courses within 10km of Killarney.
