About Oranmore
Oranmore is situated on the shores of Renville Bay just 10Km from Galway City. It is a busy village, with shops, pubs serving food, and restaurants. Due to its proximity to Galway City, it has a great local atmosphere at all times of the year.
Renville Park, just 5 minutes by car from the village of Oranmore, is an extensive area of woodland and open grassland on the shores of Galway Bay, surrounding the ruins of the ancient Oranmore castle dating from the 16th century. The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife and visitors can frequently see ravens, grey herons, and otters. The Park’s large picnic areas and children’s playground make it a firm favourite with families all year round.
Galway Bay Golf Club and sailing club have their base here and walkers can enjoy the marked trails. Our holiday home in Renville is a perfect base from which to explore Galway, and the West of Ireland, yet with lots of amenities on your doorstep.
