Located in an area of outstanding natural beauty, Terryglass is a picturesque village situated on the shores of Lough Derg in County Tipperary.

There is a magnificent harbour 650 meters from Terryglass village with a wonderful playground overlooking the lough. At the harbour moorings are available and the slipway allows visitors to easily enter Lough Derg with canoes, kayaks, and boats.

Terryglass meaning “Land of the two streams” is 25 minutes north of Nenagh, and only a 2-hour drive from Dublin City. Steeped in natural history, the village itself was established on the site of an ancient monastery built in 549AD most renowned for the production of ‘The Book of Leinster’ now housed in Trinity College in Dublin city.
Terryglass is an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area with beautiful lakeside forests and walking trails. Top tourist attractions that can be reached easily include The Cliffs of Moher, The Aran Islands, and the Burren National Park.
