About Ballinrobe
Ballinrobe is one of the oldest towns in County Mayo, which is surrounded by magnificent scenery and an array of popular tourist attractions. The town is situated on the River Robe, which empties into scenic Lough Mask located 2 km from the town. Explore the pretty river walk called the Bowers Walk which stretches for 3km along the River Robe.
The town has a great selection of shops, restaurants, and traditional Irish pubs.
Several renovated and historic structures are located in and around the Ballinrobe. There are more protected buildings in Ballinrobe than in any other town in Mayo.
Every year the annual Queen of the Lakes Festival and the Annual Heritage Day Festival attract visitors from all over. Renowned for lake fishing in particular the Callow Lakes which yield excellent brown trout and also the lakes of Conn and Cullin making Ballinrobe the perfect destination for a fishing holiday in Ireland.

Climb Croagh Patrick, and venture out to Achill Island along the Great Western Greenway, a 42km long cycling and walking marked trail.
