The estate has 6km of walking trails along Ballynahinch River and within the woodland with ancient oak and beech trees. Holiday guests often spot otters, kingfisher or dippers diving into the water. The Owenmore River is also home to salmon and trout, a wonderful place for fly fishing. Explore the Railway Loop, which was once the Galway to Clifden railway line. The vibrant town of Clifden is a 16-minute drive from Ballynahinch, kKnown as the capital of Connemara and one of the most picturesque towns in Ireland. Situated between the Atlantic Ocean and the Twelve Bens a magnificent mountain range of mostly sharp-peaked quartzite summits and ridges located in the Connemara National Park in County Galway. The town is packed with quirky shops, art galleries, unique décor shops, traditional Irish pubs, restaurants, and cosy cafes.
