There are a variety of walking trails in the local area such as the Town Trail and River Walk, the 4km Gortnor Abbey, 8 km Grange Walk, 11km Deel Castle, the 11.5km Keenagh Loop Walk and the 3km Enniscoe House Loop Walk.
Situated near the northern shore of Lough Conn and only 9 km west of Ballina town. Lough Conn is Ireland’s seventh largest lake noted for its trout and salmon fishing making Crossmolina a wonderful base for a fishing holiday in Ireland. Several competitions are held during the fishing season attracting national and international anglers. You can hire a gillie via Cloonamoyne Fisheries or relish some speedboat fun at the local pier.
