About Dunmore East
Dunmore East in County Waterford has long been a favourite holiday destination for Irish families and overseas visitors alike. Centered around a traditional, working harbour, the village has a number of excellent pubs serving local, fresh fish, restaurants and small shops. The village also has public tennis courts and a large children’s play area.
Dunmore East has two large sandy coves right in the heart of the village, Counsellors’ Strand and Lawlors which are both ideal for swimming and are easy to access. There are numerous coves and beaches along this particular stretch of coastline (historically used by smugglers) many of which are linked by scenic walkways and paths, and with a wide variety of wild birds including a large colony of kittiwakes that nest in the red sandstone cliffs Down at the harbour you can buy fresh fish from the trawlers to take home to cook in your holiday home! The harbour is home to Waterford Harbour Sailing Club which offers junior sailing courses throughout the summer (ages 10 – 18yrs).
Dunmore East Golf Club is an 18-hole, 72-par course situated on one of the cliffs, overlooking the village which enjoys fantastic views of the bay and Hook Peninsula.

"House was very clean, with two recently renovated bathrooms, both with electric showers and wall heaters. Beds were very comfortable. Wifi and a smart TV in the sitting room were brilliant for the showery days. The orientation of the house meant sunshine filled the kitchen and sitting room throughout the day, keeping it warm. There were heaters in the rooms, but we did not need to use them. Lovely walk up and down to the beach every day. Would happily stay here again!"
