Local Area – Spanish Point & Miltown Malbay
Spanish Point is a little seaside village on the West Coast of Clare, right on the Wild Atlantic Way. It is 4.5 km along the coast to the fishing village of Quilty and 3km inland from the market town of Miltown Malbay. The coastline along this stretch of Clare is wild and wonderful – wild with huge Atlantic Waves rolling in to the cliffs one day, and offering breath taking calm blue seas on another. Surfing the waves can be done from White strand beach, or play a round of golf on one of Ireland’s oldest golf links in Spanish point.The village has a lovely hotel and pubs and restaurants serving freshly caught seafood.
